Compared to conventional construction methods more economical solutions can be realized by using prefabricated steel- and steel composite components. Steel and light weight metal constructions cover a wide range of strengths, specific weights and component stiffnesses. Hereby a maximum degree of flexibility in spans, transparency and structural design is allowed.

Thus for steel and light weight metal structures the architectural freedom of design on the one side and the engineering requirement for an optimized load transmission on the other side give the required space for the realization of modern structures.

Besides a high level of experience and the state of the art of technical knowledge from research and development and our close cooperation with the RWTH Aachen various tools of commercial and internally developed software for planning, examination and evaluation are available in this area to enable the appropriate and optimized working conditions for complex and in most cases time-critical project processing.
